This year, Fashion Summer Festival Mamaia 2015, the most awaited event happening in Mamaia, debuted successfully on the first weekend dedicated to Romanian values, Romanian Fashion Weekend.
Three days of presentations from well renowned Romanian designers showing off their newest collections, beauty pageants bringing on stage the most beautiful girls from the seaside, and exciting concerts from famous Romanian and international singers closing each evening of the event with both emotion and energy. It all took place on the Fashiontv scene, built in Casino Square Mamaia, the hottest spot on the Romanian seaside.
Because this weekend was dedicated entirely to Romanian fashion, the Fashiontv scene became the host for a most distinctive selection of the newest collections signed by famous designers and brands. Headlining the first day of the weekend, famous designer Catalin Botezatu presented his newest collection, Wild. Then followed Frankie Garage, Wonder Lolita by Maria Simion, Louis Purple and Catalin Botezatu’s capsule-collection made for the Lashez. The evening continued with the introduction of the 32 competitors for the Miss Litoral title, and ended with the concert of international singer Admiral C4C.
The second day debuted with the presentation of the newest Fashiontv collection by Catalin Botezatu. The Fashiontv models wearing Catalin Botezatu’s beautiful dresses were enthusiastically appaluded by the audience. The night continued with presentations from the freshest Romanian designers: Sapphire Atelier, Cielle Couture by Cristina Trandafir, R.O.G.V.A.I.V. by Paula Florean. The contestants competing for the Miss Litoral title surprised the public with a captivating choreography that included the famous marine salute. Marcel Pavel closed the second evening of the weekend in the applauses of thousands of spectators.
On Sunday – the last day of Romanian Fashion Weekend, we witnessed the fashion presentations of young designers from Arts and Design University in Cluj, and we found out the winners for Miss Litoral 2015.
Because Fashiontv supports the emerging designers on their journey to success and acknowledgement, they had an entire day dedicated to showcase their creations. Maceda – with the Urban Rebirth collection, Oana Pop – with the Urban Gheisa collection, Diana Ilea – with the Untitled collection and Paula Florean – with the Sayuri collection, proved emerging power and unique creativity. Designer Alex Moldovan presented his bathing suits collection Glam’Or Boutique, with the help of the participants to Miss Litoral contest.
The suspense was finally over for the participants when, just before midnight we found out the winner of the Miss Litoral trophy – Monica Barbulescu. She received the award from the last year’s winner.
