On the weekend of 14th, 15th and 16th of August, Mamaia hosted the most important event of the year: International Fashion Weekend, showcasing the newest collections from famous international designers and brands. Also, Cristina Cobzac was designated winner of the beauty pageant Miss Fashiontv Black Sea.
The tourists enjoying Mamaia resort this weekend indulged with spectacular shows dedicated entirely to international fashion. The beautiful Fashiontv models paraded on the stage, wearing collections from top brands like Valentino, Just Cavalli, Burberry, Michael Kors, BSB and DKNY, available in Romania through Sport Couture.
Each evening was accompanied by a musical surprise. First evening of International Fashion Weekend brought on stage Natalia Barbu, a gorgeous singer from Moldavia.
The international beauty pageant Miss Fashiontv Black Sea took place on Saturday evening. 21 beautiful girls competed for the most important titles in the competition, and the ones that were designated top 5 will have the opportunity to participate in Fashiontv’s beauty pageants taking place in Turkey, Singapore, Bangkok and Dubai. Miss Fashiontv International’s finals will take place next year at the International Film Festival in Cannes.
The jury were handpicked elites from the fashion industry: Franco Bataglia, Alexandra Andrioaia, Claudio Solzi, Catalin Botezatu, Roxana Mihalache, Bassam Damas, and Irina Postica.
The contestants walked the stage wearing bathing suits and evening gowns signed by Romanian designer Catalin Botezatu.

The prize for Miss Popularity was awarded by the audience to Monica Barbulescu.
This year, Fashiontv celebrated 18 years of existence. Because Fashiontv promotes Mamaia as one of the top vacation destinations, the audience were presented with the anniversary collection Fashiontv 18 years by Pallugio.
One of the most important moments of the weekend were the launching of Catalin Botezatu’s collection Wild Horses and New York designer Sushma Patel’s freshest collection. Ania J, singer and official MC of Fashiontv International, closed the evening of Saturday, the 15th.
Sunday evening brought even more wonder on the stage of Fashion Summer Festival. The audience was presented with LB Design’s collection Recunostinta, accessorized with Artiflora hats. Also, young designers coming fresh out of Arts and Design University in Cluj were offered the opportunity to showcase their creations in front of thousands of people. Some of the collections presented on Sunday were Cycle in Style by Andreei Szanto, Multiglitter Men by Loredana Ghetie or Daniel Racovizza’s last works, just to name a few. The evening ended with the beautiful songs sung by Nicola, the famous participant in Eurovision 2003.
