World Trade Center Bucharest provided on the 7th of April 2014 the podium for the most important event dedicated to Romanian tourism: the fourth edition of the Romanian Tourism Gala. Organized by fashiontv in collaboration with professionals from the tourism industry – FAPT, FPTR, FIHR, OPTBR si ANTREC – with the support of the National Authority for Tourism of the Ministry of Economy, the event continues the series of projects designed to promote Romanian tourism and to stimulate investments in the touristic industry, awarding the most important destinations and tourism services of Romania in 2013.
The awarding ceremony was accompanied not only by special moments which starred the fashiontv models and the Calusari Ensemble from Gorj, but also fashion shows by Daniel Racovizza (fashion designer from the Republic of Moldova), Atmosphere Fashion and Catalin Botezatu. Some of the important guests of the event included the Mayor of Bucharest – Mr. Sorin Oprescu, the Mayor of Constanta – Mr. Radu Mazare and the businessman Mr. Ion Tiriac.
The Romanian Tourism Gala 2014 trophies were awarded according to geographical areas, so as to outline the touristic highlights of each one and award the extraordinary results brought by the touristic industry of the specific area. The winners of the fourth edition are:
Dobrogea Area
● The award for the best traditional fish cuisine – Jurilovca Comune
● The award for best services- Danube Delta Resort Crisan Hotel
Moldova Area
● The award for contributing to the development of cultural tourism through the renovation of the Culture Palace in Iasi, but also for promoting ecclesiastic tourism – Iasi City Hall
● The award for best services – Central Plaza Hotel in Piatra Neamt
Transilvania Area
● The award for the notable contribution to developing rural tourism services in the Bran area – Curtea Braneana Boarding House
- The award for the support of rural tourism – Poiana Rasnoavei-Doripesco Boarding House
- The award for the management of the summer residence of the Baron Samuel von Brukenthal – Avrig City Hall
Banat Area
● The award for novelty – Afrodita Hotel in Baile Herculane
● The award for continuity in quality and services – International Hotel in Baile Herculane
Oltenia Area
● The award for the contribution brought to the development of tourism in the area by developing the infrastructure and promoting traditions and folklore – Gorj County Council
Mountain Area
● The award for the continuous effort in investment and the support for the Olympic Festival for the European Youth – the Mayor of Brasov, Mr. George Scripcaru
● The award for the support of cultural tourism in the Casino of Sinaia building – the Mayor of Sinaia, Mr. Vlad Oprea
Muntenia Area
● The award for the remarkable accolades brought by the participation in wine competitions – Lacerta Wine Cellar
Bucharest
● The award for best services – Radisson Hotel
● The award for best services – Ago Restaurant
● The award for most fashionable restaurant – La Brasserie
● The award for the most impressive development of the Old City Center –the Mayor of Bucharest, Mr. Sorin Oprescu

Special Awards
● For two National Authority for Tourism in the Ministry of Economy’s initiatives, as follows
– The award for the first transnational cultural routes developed for the south-east of Europe: the Roman Emperors Route and Danubian Wine Route
– The award for organizing the international conference “The identification of competitive advantages of a touristic destination – opportunities and challenges in the durable development of Romanian tourism”, an event organized in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization
● The award for significant contributions brought to promoting Romanian tourism – Money Channel tv station
● The award for best services offered – Nobil Luxury Boutique Hotel in the center of Chisinau
● The award for an important spokesperson engaged in supporting and promoting Romanian tourism – the blogger Razvan Pascu
The best airline of 2013– Turkish Airlines
Official partners of the Romanian Tourism Gala 2014 are Jaguar and Range Rover through Tiriac Auto, Vernescu House and Phoenicia Hotel.
The hairstyling for the fashiontv models was done by School of Hairstyling Cornel Saru, the make-up done by the professionals at the Cotimanis Show Makeup School.
